Hooking N64 To HDTV
I have a Samsung HDTV in my room and I tried plugging in my N64 to all of the ports, but none work for it. I plugged it into a regular TV and it works. The N64 does receive power from the outlet, but it says on Component, VC, and CPU that it has no connection or something. SOMEONE HELP! ...please.

Does your tv have a composite RCA in? The red, white and yellow ports in a row?

Yes, but it says that it doesn't have a signal. As if the N64 is too weak for HD. THE N64 IS THE MIGHTIEST SYSTEM THERE IS!

Hook it up to the AV in, and switch the input to AV. or composite, or something like that.
Re: Hooking N64 To HDTV
Component is not the same as composite.
Also you should try to get an S-Video cable, you may notice less jaggies and crawlies.. Plus your TV is more likely to have an S-Video hole.

On all hd tvs there are the analog and digital options, just try both analog and digital and that should solve your problem. Thats what I did and it seemed to work.
