hey so i have a 9.6V 1600mAh Ni-MH battery http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2103206 i got it because it was cheap, came with a charger, and was easy to obtain. Will this work for makeing A N64p ? btw i am not using a ps1 screen, and the screen i am using accepts this battery when i hook it up. so the screen wont be a prob. But will it work for the nintendo?

Yes. You will need to get a step down regulator like a PTH08000 and a resistor and capacitor for it to regulate the voltage for the 3.3v line on the n64.
Battery probably won't run the portable too long though. Maybe an hour, tops?
