anybody scratch records?

Post by stuntpenguin007 »

I've got a usb record player. Would it completely ruin it to try use it as a turntable and scratch records?

I have no clue why I want to do this right now... and anything I make would probably sound like crap. But I'm bored so I just started searching the internet and thought of it.

Try out a program called Virtual DJ. It allows you to virtually put music into it and scratch the record in the program. Its pretty neat. (Theres a free trial of it too.)

No it wouldn't ruin it, I recommend you buy a slipmat first though.

Or you could just buy Virtual DJ, either way scratching a vinyl will damage it.

IIRC, he can buy a special needle specifically for scratching. They're not that expensive.
