Pretty cool stuff. 
If it was me, though, I probably would have used a 3rd party Playstation controller with the extra long handles. Then I would've mapped the four main buttons to their respective places and left the start and select buttons as is.
P.S. - that plastic flap is the dust cover for the cartridge slot of the N64 (firsties!)

why does everyone dislike the controller wings? it would be infinitely more comfortable than the standard thing. and really, who ever takes thier portable emulation devices anywhere anyway? they live inside.

you really could have gone somewhere with the n64 controller idea with a bit (and by bit i mean a hell of a lot) of work. still worth probably at least what he is asking!
