Transformers 3
With the awesome release of Revenge of the Fallen, comes the 3rd action packed movie of Transformers 3. I was looking on Wikipedia (i know, may not be entirely true) about Megan Fox for her new movie Jennifer's Body, and as I scroll down i see Transformers 3 to be released in 2012! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megan_Fox#Filmography" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Discuss!

Re: Transformers 3
Hmm, let's see if we can predict what will be in the third movie by extrapolating from the first two:
Transformers 1: Cheesy but fun action movie with giant transforming robots
Transformers 2: Giant clanking metal robot balls
Transformers 3: ???

Re: Transformers 3
For the same reason they are making Shrek 4 in 2010, Shrek 5 in 2013, and a Puss-in-Boots spinoff film in 2012. They can't leave any successful film alone anymore - you almost hope for good movies to only do OK, so they don't keep cranking out terrible sequels (Matrix, anyone?).bicostp wrote:Oh God why.

Re: Transformers 3
They're going to make a third Transformers movie, because the first two kicked enough ass to justify it. If Bay is on board I am there. The first two were great, mindless fun and I'm sure the third will be no different.
That said, I am really looking forward to seeing GI Joe 2. The first one was an over-the-top completely batsh*t blast of a movie. 'Detonate the ice pack!" I can't help but love a movie with dialog like that, that is spoken with such conviction.
Toy Story 3 I could really care less about. The first two were fine, but rank right up there amongst the least interesting of all the Pixar films. As far as the time between sequels goes. Waiting 2 years or 10 years doesn't matter as far as cash-ins go. Indy 4 was 19 years after the previous one and was most definitely a cash-in.
Oh by the way... Matrix Reloaded rocked and Revolutions was perfectly fine.

I hear ya! The first one just doesn't hold my interest. Whenver I watch it I like it a little bit less.Tibia wrote:Hells yes! I get far more viewing pleasure out of Reloaded than I do the original.jones wrote:Oh by the way... Matrix Reloaded rocked and Revolutions was perfectly fine.
Reloaded on the other hand is just nonstop awesomeness and has a lot more going on in it than anybody gives it credit for. The burly brawl, Merovingian, that awesome chase sequence at the end, and last but not least The Architect all serve to make Reloaded the best in the trilogy.
I just watched it again a couple weeks ago when red2blu came through for me and it totally reinforced my opinion of it. Great movie!

Transformers 2 was so fail
A truly wise man can entertain a thought without accepting it. A fool cannot withhold past judgments but instead closes his mine to new possibilities. Someone who wants to innovate simply needs to forget what everyone says isn't possible.
