mAh question (im a really big noob)

So yeah.....I dont know much at all when it comes to batteries and I was just wondering how you calculated the mAh of your battery....thanks

The battery should have its mAh rating printed on it somewhere.

mAh is simply a measure of how much power a battery can put out over a set amount of time. So if you have a 12v, 1000mAh battery powering something that uses 12v at 1000mA, you can estimate it will last around an hour. (It's usually a bit less than what you'd expect but at least you get in the ballpark.)

Oh alright thanks. Also If I have multiple batteries and they were parallel leading to one wire, could this increase mah or voltage?

But basically if you conenct the batteries in series, (that is connect the negative from one to the positive of the other), you add the voltage but not the amperage (mAh). On the other hand, connecting batteries in parallel (connect both positives together and both negatives together) adds the amperage but not the voltage.

I suggest making ONE thread with all your questions. You seem to have a lot, and it's cluttering the forums. One thread that you can ask all your questions when they pop in to your head would be best, call it a build log or some junk and people will read it.
