PSOne Screen question

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

PSOne Screen question

Post by Doofus »

I have a friend who's willing to sell me his PSOne screen for pretty cheap, but I'm not sure exactly if it's usable. He says that the only thing wrong with it is the video in and headphone jacks dont work, but the screen works fine. Is it still usable for a portable?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've not done any of this yet, and thought I'd ask all of you guys to get some "professional" opinions.

I would say so. If you can get it for ~$10, get it.

Alright, I'll wait for at least one more person to side with you on that, and then I'll buy it. Not that I don't trust your judgement, but I just want a second opinion (You know how it is...).

Sounds like the ports wore out due to vigorous use. You should be able to solder new connections straight to the pins.
