Xbox- Thermal Wattage
Does anyone know what the thermal wattage of the xbox is? I'm looking at different heatsinks to put in it, and the wattage would be a nice bit to know.

recasing, but not in a way that monster ones would be usable. . .

I don't have the data off hand, but if you are recasing then I will give the same recommendation as you will get from a lot of other people - water cooling. Use a 200w picoPSU and one of these http://shop.sickmods.net/product/ATX_to ... nverter_2/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to free up a small mountain of space. This is presuming the xbox is 1.2 - 1.5 in version. I am sure other guides exist for 1.0 - 1.1 and 1.6, but this is the only commercially available solution that I have seen so far.
With the extra space in the PSU area you have a bit more room to play with. I would also recommend moving to a 2.5 inch HDD instead of 3.5. They save a lot of space too. If you can sacrafice the DVD drive without too many qualms, drop her out as well. Without going to water cooling you have dropped a fair bit of height just with that alone. With water, you can drop your heatsinks and start looking at maybe half the size of the original.
