Couple of questons! Need help now!

1. I threw away the Metal piece that snaps in with the plastic frame. This is for the psone screen. What do I do??

2. In Bens Book, it says (page 162... "Go to the ribbon cables you snipped at the base.... (blah blah blah)" My question is : I didnt snip no cables!!!
