DCp Questions

hey guys just a couple of questions about a dreamcast portable project i've got going.

1. Pico PSU, what size should i get i've seen people use 120w is this right
2. Battery pack, do i need at least 12v

just dont wana buy the stuff and it not be right, thanks. :D

ps. are all picopsu's that expensive :(

yes the picopsu-120 are expansive but if your looking for battery go to page 2 of the dreamcast question and look there you will find what you need

you dont need a picopsu.

12v line will run of 7.something volts.

just get a ticard for the 3.3 and a 7805 for the 5v

actually, the 12 volt line is for the disc drive. it will run at anything between about 3v and 14v. lower voltage, and the disc spins slower, so you get really slow load times. at 7.5 volts, they arent that bad. just a little slow. at 14, it it pretty fast, but its not too reliable. you get quite a few disc read errors. :wink:
