3D Monitors and games, yo.
Has anybody had a chance to mess around with those 3D monitors (Like the IZ3D ones) that use polarized glasses? What about the nVidia 3D viewing system with active lens glasses? I have been wanting to play TF2 and maybe some N64 emulation in 3D, building a desktop rig, but not sure what the best options for a 3D experience would be, monitor wise. Does anybody have any insight? What are the best routes to achieve my goal?

Excellent

I think you'd want to get a 120hz monitor, so you can still get 60 FPS. (Max FPS you see = your monitor's refresh rate. Max FPS you see in 3D = 1/2 monitor's refresh rate because it has to render twice as much.)
Nvidia's drivers come with 3DVision Discover, as long as the video card can handle it. It basically just uses the old-school red/blue glasses on-screen. It's really trippy in TrackMania Nations, but due to the nature of red/blue glasses, the colors get kinda screwy.
At least the 3D where it alternates eyes and frames in sync (3DVision, the old Master System add-on, etc) doesn't have that issue.
