But benheck put the cartridge in his system backwards once when he thought the system was fried, but he just put it back in the right way and it worked again.

Re: game in backwards:(
Must be something besides you slot relocation that did it. Or else the wires are too long. How long are they?
Re: game in backwards:(
3 inches long:P basically, after I relocated it, it worked fine. Then, I put on a ti regulator(only took 22 hours to ship and get to me after order) and it wouldn't start. I boosted the current by piggybacking another one in and the audio wouldn't work. Then I tried with 5(don't know why) and still couldn't get audio. and then I put the cart in backwards. And then I gave up, went to my local game shop, and somehow found a psone with a screen(psone screen, of course) for $80 cad, and got that instead of a snes mini. And then it's now. and for Christmas, I'm gonna wish for another snes.

Re: game in backwards:(
Have you tried using the original power supply? If you added th ti regulator and then it didn't work then it's most likely the ti regulator.
Re: game in backwards:(
I'll try that later when I get home

Re: game in backwards:(
My guess is the regulator draws a maximum of something like 500 mA, and it's just not enough current. Also, visually inspect your wires. Make sure none have broken off.
Cartridge backwards = fried saves, but fine system.

Hey, sup?
Re: game in backwards:(
I've put a game backwards into my snes multiple times (it had no case and I assumed wrong), and besides LED blinking briefly it had no sidefects whatsoever. Still works like a charm - both the game and the snes.
Re: game in backwards:(
Has anyone else fried the SNES with the backwards cart?
I just put in an old dev cart backwards and my SNES won't powerup.
Not happy...
I wanted to open her up and look for any fuses, or other obvious damage, but it's got the ol' SNES screws that I can't remember how I use to get those open. Maybe a melted piece of plastic? I think these case screws may be too tight for that.
Any ideas would be helpful.
PS tests out at 13v, little high, but... power should come on.
Tried with no carts and real carts, but same results.
Thanks.
