Generated Energy

So I bought this cool little crank generated energy flashlight last weekend.

And I was wondering if I could desolder the button cell batteries and solder the motor and capacitor unto the lithium ion battery of my GBA SP so I would have an "emergency" power source.

You could do that probably but you would most likely need to build a power regulator to regulate the voltage down to the SP's charging voltage, but I don't know how many mA that motor generates when spun...

BTW, that little red thing to the right of the motor is a diode.

yeah I guess it could work in theory... hook it up wrong and kaboom!... wouldn't it take up less space and save your elbows if you just carry another battery?
