Original N64 DPAD Problem
I wired everything up on the controller, now i am wondering why the up button seems to lock and just keep going up when i test it. this seems to be the only button that is giving me problems, it continues to just go press up the whole time.
Re: Original N64 DPAD Problem
Has it been mounted into the case already? This is generally just because of misplacement/misalignment of the PCB/carbon mesh button sheet.
Re: Original N64 DPAD Problem
do you mean, maybe its getting pushed on because its right behind the screen? the pressure from the screw and the back of the screen is somwhat pancaking it and pushing on it? Just to inform, I solder wires on to the contacts of the dpads. I will check if its pushing up on it.
Re: Original N64 DPAD Problem
How is the d-pad PCB being held up against the actual button right now?
Re: Original N64 DPAD Problem
Okay I fixed the up problem, now there is another problem, When I press LEFT d-pad, it registers as UP? but the UP dpad works fine now.
Re: Original N64 DPAD Problem
Again, that just means that the PCB is mounted wrong up against it.
Make sure it's completely parallel to the button mesh and completely lined up correctly.
Re: Original N64 DPAD Problem
edit. Fixed the problem, just did some rewiring with a cut dpad part.
