First question, for setting the power switch to be permanently ON, what do you do with the paper clip? The book mentions using a paper clip, but how?

I know nothing about the Snesp2, but you can take off the on-off switch that is on the circuit board and add wires to connect the pins so, they are permanently on.

yeah the book just means use a paperclip to connect the two pins, careful you dont short it out tho

Know that I think of it, I have no clue why he said paper clip and he is a very good modder. He knows about wires, so there must be some reason that he wants to use a paper clip. Sign up at modretro and post your question there in the SNES section. You will then have your answer.

If you could take a picture of the board and where you want to put the paper clip that would help me answer your question. A lot of ben's technics are old and out dated.

He used a paper clip to bridge the pins so the unit would power on without a switch.
Then he soldered it in.
Why paperclip, you ask? Because it is the easiest thing to find anywhere! You could do the exact same thing with regular old wire, this was simply for convenience.
The paperclip acts as a lead. Pretty self explanatory.
