how do you set up the controllers

i understand all the wiring for the videos and audio..but what i really need help with is the controller part. i dont understand how to set it up or do anything. so is their anything i can do or visit to understand how to make a controller for the snes portable

There is a book called "Hacking Video Game Consoles" written by Ben Heckendorn. I suggest you read it, and then come here.

I don't mind giving advice or pointing people in the right direction, but seriously this book has step-by-step instructions in it with lots of photographs and complete directions for this stuff. You seem to be needing that kind of help.
