Battery question... Im not surre if this is good?!?!?!

I was planing to make a portable snes with a retro duo... I planed this for a long time but never finished. But now im looking forward to finaly finish it. As far as I remeber I needed like 7.4v to power the console and screen, but I want my portable power to last a lot. I got 2 3.7v battery, they have like 5700 mAh ... So the higher mAh I can find, does it mean the longer the power will last? Here is a link to the battery.

im getting 2 of those, does it mean that my mAh will boost to 11400mAh or mAh dosent add? Thanks

With 2 batteries, you can add volts or capacity (mAh), but not both.

If you connect both batteries directly to the thing you want to power (parallel), then you add capacity.

If you connect one battery's negative to the other battery's positive and then treat them as a battery pack (series), then you add volts.

You can add both, but you need 4 batteries (2 series battery packs wired in parallel).

I know it's kind of awkward to explain in text, so have a diagram!

as I dont want it to over charge and stuff...

I ill add them in series and get 7.4v with 5700 mAh with the board.

What do I increase if I want my portable to last longer hours... do I increase the voltage or mAh? Thanks

you want to increase the mAh, but 5700 is plenty for a snes
