Any good? What is the difference between the different consoles?
I have bought the Xbox 360 Arcade, I really don't know the difference between them all except the Elite has a bigger hard drive and is black lol!
What I am wondering is what is the difference between the different Xbox 360 consoles apart from the price?
My friend is the gamer not me and he seems happy with it, we only want it for playing games not really bothered about HD or Xbox live. Can't you just tell I am thick at all things like this!

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade
Xbox 360 arcade is the base configuration and does not come with a hard drive of any kind. Having no hard drive means that you cannot save gaming data and cannot play original xbox games. The configuration also does not come with an ethernet cable, headset, or Hybrid component cables/Hd component.
The main different between the xbox 360 pro and elite is the color and hard drive. Elites being black, pros or "premiums" being white. the xbox 360 elite also comes with an HMDI cable and a digital auidio dongle.
Depending on the model you buy, the xbox 360 pro, arcade, or "core" ( which isn't produced anymore), may not have an HDMI output , preventing high definition output.
The arcade system has a matte white cd drive front panel while the pro and elite have chrome, the arcade also comes bundled with 5 arcade games that can be played off a disc or downloaded to expandable memory.
Hope this helps.

A truly wise man can entertain a thought without accepting it. A fool cannot withhold past judgments but instead closes his mine to new possibilities. Someone who wants to innovate simply needs to forget what everyone says isn't possible.
Re: Xbox 360 Arcade
The arcade does come with a memory stick so you can save your games. Also, If it's a new console, then they all have HDMI these days. If it's used, it's hit or miss. Also, the Pro version is being discontinued so eventually it'll just be the arcade and the elite.
If you're not sure what to do, just get the arcade unit. From there if you're not happy with the basics, then you can always get a harddrive later.
