How do you solder directly to the RCP of a N64
I want to make an n64 portable but I want to solder directly to the RCP. I dont know how though??? Are there any tips or pointers or cautions that I should be aware of too, because I have never solder directly to the RCP before.

Pretty much the same way you'd solder to anything else except that the connections are smaller. I'd recommend using a fine tipped soldering iron and a very steady hand, a magnifier might help.

Thanks kibble. I saw your portable n64 worklog and it looks very challanginging, so good luck! Also, when soldering to the RCP, would flux make it easier or could I just solder to it without flux?

Flux would definitely be a good idea, it lowers surface tension and helps avoid solder bridges between pins.
