those online stores take forever to ship sometimes, though. I want to be able to go for a 15 minute drive to aquire all my parts.

Call them up and complain, that is what I did. Maybe if we all complain, they will at least keep stocking electronic parts.

I just visited Radioshack an hour ago, and they said that they would still be offering electronic parts when they change to "The Shack." I hope mine is right, otherwise a 20 minute drive each time I need a part.
If you're getting 404'd when trying to use the links in stickies, try this tutorial to find that juicy info.

Aww man! I could bike to my radioshack in 5 minutes to pick up some stuff but now, I'll wait 5 days to get 1 small resistor.

That's why you order them in bulk. You save money doing it that way too!

Check out the review of the new identity. It basically says that RadioShack is stuck in the past, and the new branding is doing nothing to change that. I don't agree with the part that RadioShack is stuck in the past, but the article also suggests that RadioShack is not changing their name or logo, and that this is just a new advert campaign. :D

Also, they changed their site just a little bit. Looks nice.

Fail at appealing to a more mainstream shopper.

There is PC World, the Apple store, Circuit City, Best Buy, ASDA/Walmart, Currys.... The Shack? No.

I was at "The Shack" yesterday and the were preparing for the transformation. I was reading their papers they had out on what to do in preparation, but I didn't want to look too obvious so I only read about 1 page upside down.

Apparently they have to throw out all their old cardboard displays. Dumpster diving in the next day or so could be fun :)

I talked to my Radioshack guys today and they told me there was absolutely zilch chance that the parts section would go away. :D
