dreamcast mouse: flipdown = trackball

hi,

some of you know, i'm now on a project, where i want to mod my dreamcast to a "notebook". because of that i need mouse likely device.

before i just buy a dreamcast mouse i have a question:

can i flip down the dreamcast mouse, so i have a trackball mouse? if yes: do i have to mod the mouse? and how?

If you move the mouse ball left to move left, you notice the underside also moves to the left. That therefore means the co-ordination is the same, you just need to make the housing smooth for the mouse ball to work in. It's what I am doing in my project.
