You can redo your entry ONLY if your score is beaten. If 5 or more people acuse you

Well, I don't know how many people would have the original hardware.

And the whole thing about people accusing you of cheating, isnt fair due to the fact 5 people could gain up on someone without evidence and just say "Your cheating".

You should make it so there must be clear evidence of the person cheating, somehow.

But you still expect everyone who wants to enter to have not only a working NES but also a copy of whatever game you think of? I mean Super Mario Bros I can understand because that was packaged with 99% of NES consoles, but Punch-Out? Yes it's a good game but personally I neither own it nor feel like running around to track down a copy just to submit an image to a forum for nothing but bragging rights. On top of that, you want to do 2 games a week? You might get 1 or 2 entries unless you only choose REALLY popular games like Sonic 2 and Super Mario World.

At least have separate categories for "Real hardware" and "Emulator", if you're so dead set on the idea that everyone will abuse the emulator to boost their score.

Unless it's something everyone can easily do (online Flash games, emulation, freeware PC games, etc) you're not going to see any substantial turnout.

I agree completely. Why NES specifically? You are restricting the potential entries by quite a bit. And cheating is completely possible on original hardware as well through a Game Genie. Either use emulators or pick some freeware game like bic said. It would be even better if you picked games that could be played online, either through the game itself or through Kaillera.

Besides, you can't tell me Goldeneye over Kaillera wouldn't be awesome

I agree completely. Why NES specifically? You are restricting the potential entries by quite a bit. And cheating is completely possible on original hardware as well through a Game Genie. Either use emulators or pick some freeware game like bic said. It would be even better if you picked games that could be played online, either through the game itself or through Kaillera.

It isn't that hard to get a decent time for smb1.
