The 10th anniversary of the Dreamcast is coming up and I thought it would be cool to run a loosely put together Dreamcast project competition.

The Rules:

1. project must be finished and presented on the forums by 9/9/09

2. It can be any kind of project ranging from a portable to an led mod

3. anyone on the forum who has been a member since before this thread was created will be allowed to vote in the official Dreamcast 10th Anniversary project voting thread which will be open from 10/9/09 to 15/9/09

4. No voting on you're own project

5. If you make something PM me to make sure you get put in the compo

the point isnt to win, the point is to inspire creativity within the board. get people motivated to do some cool projects.

Its not really about the prize, just a reason for people for people to finish up old Dreamcast projects. The DC board is kind of lame now.

As for spending hundreds of dollars, I said it could be any kind of project involving the Dreamcast. My project is only going to cost $10 and thats just for a metal cutting wheel that I can use on other projects.

Although really, the tenth anniversary was last year. Due to the fact it got released in japan earlier.

Not sure. I remember seeing a thread that he was leaving. He didn't post at all for awhile so I figured that was final. Now hes back though

Nah, he decided to leave benheck after he was gonna sue my ass for harassment, then conveniently decided that nightwheel had somehow convinced him to stay, with nightwheel being the very first person in his thread. The purpose of the thread was really just to garner sympathy and make me look bad. He had his sig say "I am leaving this dump, thanks to a certain person". Then, when I owned him with a perfect deconstruction of his actions, he had one of his moderator buddies delete the thread, and changed his sig to "Should I stay, or should I go?", and denied the existence of the thread he had made.

Then he decided to go to my thread in the Wii forum and call me a liar, after which I soundly trounced him. He vanished for a few days, but has since come back in sporadic bursts.

And HDC: This contest is on an English language forum, hosted in the US, and posted on by people predominantly in the US. Thus, you are not really "technically correct". All you have really done is shown how different parts of the world had different release dates, but by that logic, you could never really have a "real" anniversary contest.

That said, consider me in for this contest.
