The Atari 2600 Shell Build - Big Screens (watch out 56k)

Hello!
I see all these portables and wonder, where are all the stationary builds?! It's like no one builds shells or just modify the original ones! (yes, i would like to have links to all case/shell builds of the Atari 2600 you know of )

Anyway! This is my little rough plan i have constructed in Google SketchUp the last day and a half. The walls are 4 mm wide and made of something.... Here is where you come in! Recommend me a material for this project. It will be painted in a glossy white or black and look extremely sharp, have chrome pushbuttons instead of the original switches (that are modeled in sketchup for now) and be quite small so the material will have to be though.

I'm thinking Acrylic panels? (i have no idéa actually )

Actually, I'm thinking of doing something with a 2600 Jr. I picked up with a broken case... which reminds me, I call dibs on "AtarWii".

I would recommend High Impact Styrene (HIS) or just "styrene" plastic for the case. You can purchase it in white or black, and it's fairly cheap. Do a Google search for some suppliers and I'm sure you will find what you need pretty quickly. Styrene is easy to work with, is fairly strong, and paints well.
