10 year anniversary

The 10 year anniversary for The Sega Dreamcast is on September 9,2009, or 9/9/09. I was reading on the contest page. Someone said we should make a bunch of these. I'm hoping to put my n64p on the back burner and make one of these. Anyone else in?

hopefully my top secret not portable project will be done for the 9th. My Dreamcast just quit working for some reason though so I might not actually get it finished unless I can find a garage sale dreamcast for under $10 or get mine working.

Too bad more people aren't interested in this, I talked to Ben at MGC about it he didn't want to make one either

Would've been sweet to unveil 9 different ones at once or something on 9/9/09.

We should have a compo for any kind of dreamcast mod. All of the stuff would be unveiled on 9/9/09. even if not many people can be in the compo at 15 days notice it would spark some interest in the dreamcast.

we'd have at least 2 people in it because my dreamcast just started working again for no reason so I can finish my project.

is the 12v line for the fan only? I may be able to do this!

desolder the 12v pin and find out.

edit: how important is the fan? This could be way smaller if I could get rid of the fan and use a 5v cell phone charger and add on a 3.3v regulator as the power supply.

You need the fan or it won't work, we've got a nice thread on this on, eh. nvr mind.

oh, There are no stickies on DC information in this board. Maybe I should start a thread about misc DC info. And will it not turn on if the fan isn't connected? I spent a whole day trying to get it to work and then I plugged in the fan and it booted up.

anyways I found a 12V power cord so I just need something to regulate it to 5V
