WTB 15" - 17" LCD monitor

Okay, 1ST LET ME SAY, AS OF 7-14-09 I ONLY HAVE $17, but I will be selling an Xbox 360
to a friend as soon as it comes back from repair, At which point I will be willing to spend
up to 30 US dollars on a working monitor.

Also, I will be in the Adirondacks from the 18th
until the 25th, therefore I will be unable to check the thread, so don't be disappointed
if I don't reply.

anyone have an idea on shipping thse things from australia? I have a 17" and a 15" but $30 US wont even buy you a 2.5" pustom screen. maybe try and swap one for your xbox 360

Ok, first of all, that's the starting price - not the going rate. Secondly, you need to consider the cost of shipping. They want $17 to ship the screen to which you linked. Thirdly, you'd get a much better idea of what the price should be by looking at completed listings. You'd see that such a montitor usually goes for about $50 to $60 with shipping.

And before you argue, "yeah, but they're charging too much for shipping!" - yes, that is true. However, if someone is trying to sell an XBox 360 for $50, with $200 shipping, that doesn't mean the going price is $50 and they're just sticking it to you for shipping; it means the going rate is $250 shipped.

Not to choose sides or anything, but in his defense, the shipping probably was $14. I think the seller chose a calculated shipping method because it would have been $14.02 for my zip code.

Yes, that's probably what happened. Regardless, the point remains that it is unlikely that someone will sell a working 15" LCD monitor for $30 shipped.

Have you tried craigslist? I'm pretty sure you could find a monitor for that price if you watched for a few weeks. Might be an older model, but thats what us cheapskates have to deal with.

well I don't expect any thing newer, And craigslist aint got jack... sorry, they don't have any monitors I would be able to use, so I'm between This and ebay. On ebay I cant buy anything until i get the xbox back, but here at least, I can get offers.
