Hey guys. I got a question for ya'll.
I have an apple iphone original that my parents bought from the states, and then gave to me about a week back.
I recently upgraded to 3.0 firmware, and ever since I did that I've been having bad battery life, and a wifi problem with my iphone.
The wifi problem is, no matter where I am my iphone tells me "No Wifi". At first I thought that meant I couldn't connect, but from research I now Know it means the iphone is not recognizing its internal Wifi antenna.
I never had these problems before 3.0 software upgrade. (Well I had these problems on my OTHER iphone, which I sold. Lol.)
Do you think if I went to a apple store, they would somehow replace the phone for free or let me upgrade for a small fee? Considering, the new firmware made my phone semi functional, I think its pretty fair. (And yes, others are having this problem also.)
Not to mention, I also had a problem with it not wanting to turn on, and a network disconnection problem. But those seem to have gone away now.
iPhone problem.

I gave apple a call. They wont replace the phone for free, even after they've had numorous reports of the same problems from other people.
The rep told me I have basically 4 choices.
1) Replace it for $230 (If they still replace the original iphones.)
2) Buy a new iphone 3g (Around the same price as a replacement.)
3) Bring it into an apple store, and hope they will honor the phone and provide a replacement for no cost. (Or a discounted price.)
4) Wait until more people complain, and hope apple will give free repairs for this issue.
I could have gotten mad at the phone, but the girl sounded pretty hot, and was willing to help me even though she wasnt supposed to because I had no warranty.
Ugh. I can try living with no wifi, or my other options.
I may keep phoning back to show Im persistant (and to complain.), and hope they will finally fix it as the problem was caused by them, not me. (Ive done this before to other companies, they usually give in after a short while.)

downgrade it. pawn it off on ebay, get a 3g

Ive tried downgrading it, same problem persists. Others have this issue also. 3.0 borked the iphone.
