Would it be better to re-house the unit into something bigger so you can get the buttons as you want them? (bigger buttons, slightly further apart)?

The best idea is to install dingoo linux and use the emulators made for that instead. Im not sure what re-housing the dingoo into something bigger would help accomplish.bacteria wrote:Would it be better to re-house the unit into something bigger so you can get the buttons as you want them? At any rate, those who want a portable game/media device, get the dingoo. It's awesome.

Interesting, I heard most of the emulators run like a dog, frameskipping, etc. What's your evaluation of the system, by emulator??

The emu's are playable, but they are not perfect.

GBA & NES are almost perfect (one or two games don't work, there's a list somewhere but I don't care to search for it right now), SNES is ok (unfortunately Mario Kart does not work), Genesis/Mega Drive is pretty bad (sonic runs awfully slow and there is a lot of image tearing with faster games) Scooby Doo Mystery works fine though, so thats good enough for me
As a media device, Video Player is great, FM Radio is great (doesn't use headphones for the antenna), music player is ok,and I haven't tried any reading any ebooks but thats all text so I imagine it's fine.
Having linux ported over should be great for the system though. This is the first time I've ever used it so I'm not one of those "put linux on everything for no apparent reason" kind of people, but it should be beneficial to the system as now it's a lot easier for people to create and/or port over games and software.
