Sorry if this has been asked before, I went through every page of the n64 forum and didn't see anything like it though. I bought this battery on eBay. RB-LI 26. 7.4v at 4000 mAh. Lithium ion, from DVD player. For some reason it has 4 output pins. I've found its charger, but that probably has 2 pins. There are a few surface mount ICs on the circuit board, but I'm not sure if that's a charge protection circuit or what. Also, anyone know the pinout? What the pins do?

if its from a portable dvd player and has components on it then im %90 sure its a protection circuit

Sounds a lot like a DVD player battery. I had one just like it, but lower mAh.

I found the pins were connected to each other, so there were only two connections. One +, one -. That board is only a protections circuit to keep it from shorting or discharging too much. I had to get the charge circuit from the DVD player I got the battery from.

The green board in the middle-right is the protection circuit I took from the DVD player. You need it to charge the battery.

Yes it is from a DVD player. And that is the same exact connector mine has! I'm still not sure if that is the protection circuit on mine... There are a few ICs, but no inductor or non-surface-mount capacitors like yours.

Well I desoldered the connector and it looks like the bottom 3 contacts in the pic are connected together. From left to right on the bottom:
B+
RT
GND
VCC1
VCC
B-
CON
RT and GND are connected together by a wire that runs and tapes onto the battery. To be exact, two wires, with a black blob connecting them together?
VCC1 is connected to nothing.
The top pin of the connector goes to B+.
The second pin down goes to RT.
The third pin down goes to the fourth pin and anything else connected to that large grid.
The fourth pin down goes to GND.
