Mind you, that part does help quite a bit.

We have mineral reserves up the wazoo, like copper mines. Hell, U.S. Steel owns many large Canadian steel plants up here. Let's not forget good ol' Niagra Falls. We share it, but it provides a hell of a lot of renewable energy for the both of us.

And that's just Ontario.

Alberta's rich in oil, Saskatchewan grain, B.C. has some amazing weed, The maritimes have plenty of fish for us all, etc etc.

And we share plenty of it. I think.

But one thing I have to say is that outsourcing is going to kill us all one day. You're worried about China bombing you. What happens when China gets bombed by North Korea or some junk? Do you have ANY idea how much stuff you buy is outsourced to China? Do us all a favour. Pick an item, pick a store, and read each and every box. You'll be surprised to find that like 90% of the stuff Walmart and large companies sell is outsourced to China. Hell, due to current (Canadian. at least) labeling laws, if any part of it was made in Canada, they can label it as "made in Canada", even if it was all outsourced and they just screwed it together or something.

Advice for us all: Buy stuff from stable countries. Buy from your own if possible, if not, buy from Europe or North America.
