Netflix

Post by ghosstt »

Well, I've got myself a question about netflix. More precisely, using Netflix on the 360.

So you need a working gold account, and a netflix that gives unlimited rentals, right? So I need to get this one? :
$8.99 a month
1 DVD out at-a-time
(Exchange DVDs as often as you want)
plus
Instantly watch online on your PC or Mac or instantly on your TV via a Netflix ready device - all for no additional monthly fee. Instantly watch as often as you want, anytime you want.

Once I get that, I log in to netflix via 360, (or something similar I presume), and just start picking movies I want to watch? I'm assuming you just pick what you want to watch, it adds it to your "queue" and then you just start watching? (I'm assuming the 1-DVD out at a time doesn't really apply to the 360, since you can only watch 1 at a time anyway). Also, is it possible to select movies to add to your "queue" via your computer, and watch them from the xbox?

Yes, that is the plan you need to get at a minimum. Then you fire up the 360 and input a code you get from the Netflix website to link your 360 to your Netflix account and you're good to go. All you have to do at that point is add movies to your "On Demand" queue from the Netflix website via your computer. Currently that is the only way to add movies to your queue, but I believe they are working on having it where you can add them directly from your 360 if you wish.

I believe this feature is getting added in the fall dashboard update.
