I found this AC adapter thing in our house the other day and no one seems to know what it is or where it came from, so I figured I'd post it here and see if anyone knew.





Any ideas?

Can you upload a clearer picture of the label please? Personally I don't know of any devices that run on Blur volts. (Use the macro setting on the camera, or move it further away, and it will come out much better. Also put it on a table so you can hold the camera steady with 2 hands. Holding one in each hand basically doubles their relative speed to each other, making for blurrier pictures.)

lol, the plug on the bottom is a coax, so I figured it might be some kind of signal booster, but it's only got one jack. If it is a booster, do you run it through a splitter?

Huh. There's only one site on Google that has anything relevant on it, and it's just a sales representative number. It does have a picture of the adapter, and it does have it listed under "cable TV" products.

Have you tried measuring the output with a voltmeter?
Do you have an old TV junk VCR you don't mind potentially messing the tuner up on to try and see if it does anything?

Maybe it's supposed to supply boost power to an amplified antenna. We have one of those little square DTV/UHF antennas and it has a small power adapter that connects to the coax line. Maybe that one gets daisy-chained with the antenna it came with (AC adapter -> antenna -> TV)

I just found this site that says it powers a Viewsonics amplifier through a coax cable. So I guess it's pretty much useless without said amplifier.

Right, it powers an amplifier to, well... to amplify your cable signal

I don't know of any websites containing info on the amp, but I think I have one or 2 sitting around my house if you want pics.
