My first SNES portable, need some tips, + pictures

Post by ABCinc »

hey, this is my first portable, and i was hoping for some tips, i will post pics later, but my main question is, how do you desolder the game slot on a retro duo, that is the only thing i can't seem to desolder off of my retro duo, the rest is ready to go, i am using a ZN-45, and i am waiting for a good deal for a PSone screen, thanks in advance.

It was the only thing my desoldering braid couldn't take off too.

Your going to want a 40 watt desoldering iron from radioshack. but be carefull not to pull traces.

i used my 30-40 watt iron, but it only pulls a bit of solder off, then it won't get the rest out of it, i'm using a desoldering braid, what would make it easier to get it out? i will post some pics later, so you can see what i mean.
