Toy Story. I don't know if its because of the memories it brings back that i think its good but its definitely one of the best platformers for the gameboy. I think it is the game I first played for the game boy. Pokemon pinball is also good although I don't know if its compatible with GBO and it uses an aaa battery for some strange reason .

Its compatible with the DMG and the AAA is for the rumble.

Anyway, my fav game for the original game boy is SMB4: Warioland - all the secrets and special abilities Wario had, it was just too awesome.
