Alright, this didn't go so well on my last portable and just ended up being a second headphone jack.
I want to know how to properly wire an av output. I know how to wire it to any jack. My question is how to do it without a switch.
Apparently you can't connect a screen and the av output at the same time. I couldn't even get it working when it did have a switch. So I have to be missing something here.
So how do you hook up av output with out a switch?
BTW: (psone screen and n64 in case you need to know)

Re: Putting av output on a portable
I think you can connect screen and av output at the same time? I did it with my semi complete n64p but that was with a portable dvd player screen.

I said in the first post that I've tried that and it didn't work. I'm not sure why it works with common av cables though.
