Enable complete file sharing in XP Home?

I networked all my computers today and found that XPthinks it knows best about filesharing. I share my entire C:\ drive, but the other computers can't access the Program Files, the WINDOWS folder, or the Documents and Settings folder. Is there a way to fix this? I have XP Home, so I can't disable simple file sharing.

i doubt it. windows is stupid. i wants to think for you, and it thinks tose files shouldnt be shared.

Start -> Run -> \\[computer's IP address]\c$

If not, try installing an FTP server like FileZilla.

No, it just says the network name could not be found. The other computer is running Win95b.

So the client PC is running Win95? Forget about getting Windows File Sharing to work properly without serious finagling. The only thing I'd check is if Client for Microsoft Networks is enabled on both PCs. If that's not the problem, screw it. (Windows File Sharing was in its infancy with Win95.)

Install FireFTP Server on the computer you want to get files off of, be happy. FTP hasn't changed much since the 80s; it should work.
