I will personally murder you if you break one of the sexy clear red n64's so please, for the love of Nintendo buy another ntsc n64 and RGB mod it
and yes it can be done (your original question)

I think all the colored N64's are not RGB moddable anyway, but if you know your serial number you can confirm it for sure by comparing it to the serial number list in this thread:-

Also, since you have a transparent N64, if you wouldnt mind I would be grateful if you could tell me the serial number and the motherboard revisions to add to the list
You dont even have to open transparent N64's, as you can just hold it up to a bright light and look through the power supply slot and you should be able to read the revision from the motherboard behind the cartridge slot (eg. NUS-CPU-05 or NUS-CPU-05-1 etc) it will be upside down of course but its not too difficult to read it

you wouldn't be talking about a computer monitor would you?
it won't work as the rgb signal from the n64 is 15hz whereas all computer screens are 30hz, you would have to buy an expensive cable to double the scan to use with a vga screen
