quick question, n64 power and region differences

I'm thinking of buying a Japanese Nintendo 64 (from japan so I can use a 64dd plus yahoo japan sells the blue ones cheap) and I'm wondering what I'll do about power, Because Japan uses 110v and Australia uses 240v. So I checked my n64 power paks wondering if they ranged from 100-240v but they don't, So will I be able to use my 240v AUS power pack in a Japanese one? (cos the Japanese power pak will fry if i plug it in here).

you probubly wont be able to plug the japanesse power pack into an australian wall out let eather, a quick answer would be to get a wall adaptor that will connect to your japanesse power cord and it should regulate the voltage for your n64.

Yes you can use your AUS N64 power pak with a JPN N64 (But you cant use the original JPN power pak without a stepdown)

The N64 is easy because you can just use an official N64 power pak from your own country on any region N64, it doesnt matter what country the N64 console comes from as all N64's have the same power requirements and power connectors at the console end, the power pak/supply (Big black thing that plugs into the back of the N64) for your country just regulates your countries mains power level to the same voltages all N64's need.

Just in case that isnt very clear, you can power an N64 console from any country with an official/original N64 power pak from your own country (Im from the UK and have used a UK N64 power pak with PAL, US and JPN N64 consoles with no problems)

However, you cant use other countries power paks without using a stepup/stepdown.
