Game Boy Mods

I recently got a highly used GBC and some other crap from a school friend. I need to know a couple things about it:

1. Is it possible to add some kind of screen lighting (internal)

2. How can I get the lcd off the front half of the case? (It's messy, and I want to gut it and put the case in with the dishes)

3. Can you use a car polish to remove scratches on the screen lens?

BTW: I got lucky on this one: a GBC, 2 carts, a Code Breaker, and a power plug. And all without any Nintendo screws!

I just pulled it off carefully. I've taken apart my gbc and gba.

I think there's room for an led or two in there. Does anyone agree/disagree? If that does work, I got an old Worm Light at a thrift store for a quarter, I bet I could use that LED for a screen lighting mod.

no theres not. The screen has a refelctive backing and no room. Do a front light witha EL sheet
