is there enough room?
just take the leads from the headphone jack
just take the leads from the headphone jack

I tried this a while ago and space is a problem. If you relocate the headphone jack circuit board there's just enough space for a speaker, but you'll need to hack up the speaker a bit to fit.

Yeah, I was thinking of moving the little pcb to the empty space in the side. How exactly would I use the headphone jack to add another speaker?

Re: How do I add stereo sound to a DMG?
headphone jack provides stereo right. So find out what leads go to right, and which go to left
Then solder the speakers to those leads

I just found that, solder one speaker wire to left sound, then the other to ground
solder one speaker wire to right sound, then solder it to ground. Badda bing badda boom, stereo sound!

Cool, thanks a lot for that picture. It works, but the sound is really low. Any idea how to fix that?

Yup, you need an amplifier circuit. Google it, lots of simple ones!

Excellent
Re: How do I add stereo sound to a DMG?
Sir, you're wrong. The prosound mod bypasses the amplifier circuit, which gives a cleaner sound, at the cost of a higher output impedance. What this means is that the output has a lower ability to drive speakers, but works great when connecting the GB to a mixer. (Which is what us chip musicians do a lot)SonyPortableizer wrote:headphone jack provides stereo right. So find out what leads go to right, and which go to left

What you should do is trace the wires for L and R back from the headphone socket. The pins are Gnd, L, R and bypass. The bypass wire is used to silence the internal speaker when plugging in headphones. Find out which is the L and R wires out of these four and connet two speakers to them (L-Speaker-Gnd and R-Speaker-Gnd respectively) This will prety much kill the headphone port though.
