First (inner) molds poured for Phoenix!

It's the rubber mold stuff Gannon, weren't you curious about that stuff? I'll let you know (well, I guess I'll let everyone know really

how it works out.

It pours like pancake batter... really thick (and yummy) pancake batter! (Don't worry, I didn't eat any)

Hope they turn out well. It'd be a great alternative to cnc for making many cases.

What kind of plastic are you using for the cases? 'cuz you could always melt down the 2600 4 switch cases, for that authentic Atari feel.

I... um... actually DID try melting down Atari 2600 case plastic a month or two ago. Quite difficult, it just made a toxic-smelling turd.

Inner molds should be ready for release by time I wake up tomorrow. However the outsides of the shells need some more work before I can make the outer casting. If I get REAL lucky (and can twist the person's arm who's doing the finishing work) I might be able to cast the outer molds tomorrow night and pour the first resin cast by Thursday evening (The rubber takes 24 hours to cure)

The PCB's are also supposed to arrive tomorrow... probably in the morning. Once I successfully make a resin cast from the molds it's full-on GO time! Yahoo! (dot com)

BTW: If Jack is threatenned by anyone, it should be me(over 18 posts/day). This is the first time that I have seen Bicostp above 17. I spend more time on these forums, than I spend at school and work combined (and I work 4 P/T jobs).
