Sub-Names on Benheck?

On AtariAge and other forums people have little comments or names below their usernames, I've noticed Lucretius has Village Idiot

and some are Senior Member, why don't we all have one?

Because Ben only has it set up so moderators and administrators can change the titles. Luc only got his because gannon owed him a favor. See the announcement about fundraising for the forums for other opinions on that topic.

Well, I don't see myself donating soon anyway, but atariage still has subnames and we don't... at least we don't get swarmed by noobs too much

Come on guys, you don't need titles, you should have just chosen your name to be something ilke Lord High (blank) or Supreme Master of (insert name here) or even The 13th Archbishop of the Illuminated Brethren of (insert name)

does PHPBB offer groups?

If you check out this forum, http://www.sg1archive.com/forums/index.php?act=idx, you'll notice they have 'groups', in their case its USAF titles, but they use 'Invasion Power Boards' which costs money to buy/use.

If you look at the top of the screen you'll see there's a link called Usergroups, so I assume so
