I don't exactly want to go overkill, if it saves me some money. However, I would like something nice and then that fits in a case nicely.
So I guess I'll go with two of these.
Also I had another question while reading the book. Here is an excerpt for some context
2. Use a size-4 screw to attach a 7805 regulator to the heat sink. Insert the regulator in a piece of PC board as shown in Figure 9-10. You can mount the regulator however you like, as long as it has a heat sink and the leads don't short out against anything else. The ground (middle) connection of the 7805 can touch the heat sink, however.

~Connect spot 2 on the SNES to spot 2 on the 7508 regulator. This is ground.
~Connect spot 3 on the 7805 regulator to spot 3 on the SNES. This is +5 volts out to SNES.
~Connect the negative lead of your battery to spot 2 on the SNES and the positive lead to spot 1 on the 7805 regulator. Spot 1 in unregulated power in. To use a switch to turn the SNES on and off, put it between the positive battery lead and spot 1.
It tells me to connect the negative lead of my battery to spot 2 and the positive to spot 1, so do I connect each battery to those same spots?
Also do I have to buy a new 7805 regulator or can I use the one that is already in the SNES?
And lastly does anyone have any tips on how to mount the regulator? Thanks.
Sorry for all the questions but I just remembered one more, apparently before use of these batteries I must install a PCB. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work with these batteries before I get started on working on them?
