Are these diodes good for LOB64

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Are these diodes good for LOB64

I found these diodes on radioshack.com today. Are they good for LOB64?
Cheers,

I'm pretty sure that they need to be schotkey (sp? :x to think I won our school spelling be) because you can't have much of a voltage drop and the (above mispelled word) diodes only have a .1v drop.

After reading through the whole sticky, I don't see where mario said that. But XCVG said you wouldn't need the diode.

But then power would go into the N64 and kill batteries.

Zeener is for the low led battery that mario made.

Shottkey is for lob64 port.

Thats right. :)

How about this: 3.3v from the ti card goes straight to the controller's 3.3v line, which isn't connected to the system at all, and the 3.3v to the system goes through a tact switch in the bottom of the cart slot. This way, you don't need a diode.

I don't think routing anything off the ti card is a good idea, seeing as how the 3.3 volt line is so touchy. By the way if you want to know the one mario used for lob64 is here:

This is what I mean:

On the N64 board, the 3.3v goes directly to the controller ports (among other things), so the ti card would be under no more load than usual. I think I may do this if it works, for then I wouldn't have to buy additional parts such as the diode and lever switch.
