dual cell phone batteries?

I have two lithium ion cell phone batteries, almost identical, but ones 1000mAH and the other is 1100mAh. They're both 3.7V.

Can I just put the + of one battery onto the other batteries plus and same with the negatives or will that make my batteries explode or something along those lines?

Also would they be drained too quickly?

Just those two wouldn't power the N64 for very long, even if they were wired in parallel.

you would need at least 4 to get a decent time of say 3 1/2 hours, but then your voltage would be too high. dealextreme.com has a good lot of cheap camcorder batteries that will not cost an arm and a leg because they are shipped free

thanks, I order from DX all the time.

one more thing, when I go to my samples cart on the texas instruments I put in part number PT78HT233 and it shows 3 different variations of it but it says not in the free sample program.

did they just stop giving out free samples or am I searching the wrong thing?

4 isn't going to get you 3 1/2 hours. You forget that they're 3.7 volts 2 will have to be put in series to get 7.4 volts, then you can run the other two in parrallel. 4 cells will only get you about 2200mah, so only about 1 1/2 hours.
