Longboard worklog: *Mostly* Done with Pics at page 3!

Hey guys. I'm working on making a longboard with the help of my girlfreinds dad. (Hes the power tool user)

So, this is going to be one project that I actually finish, due to the fact theres only very little left to do.

Step 1: DESIGN DONE
Plan design, shape, and type of longboard.
Design: Simple yet effective. Stripes
Type: "Cruiser"
Shape: Oval/Off circle

Lightblue = Blue Paint
Darkblue = Blue Griptape


STEP 2: PARTS AND MATERIALS DONE
Blank trucks with abec berrings
Blank Riser Pads
Wood (I forget which kinda. I'll tell you in the next couple of days.)


Step 3: CONTRUCTIONDONE
-Cut wood, shape wood, sand wood, laquer, finish.
-Paint
-Put on grip tape, paint more
-Screw on trucks over riser pads, tighten trucks

Step 4: ART CURRENTLY WORKING ON

This is the hardest part. Picking/designing an artwork to put on the board.

Thats not finished palmer. Gotta get around to sanding the controller, so it doesn't look like crap. Also, I just didn't feel like investing time and straight lines into the MS paint picture. I had a whole photoshop picture and everything, but that was lost when I wiped my old PC.

Im kinda stuck on this design stage. All the board is done, its just I need a design to put on the bottom.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to put on the bottom? I was thinking something retro like a giant NES controller picture.

Oh, I ofcourse would say anythings finished to get people to acknowledge me. But we all know, that no work is truely finished. For all YOU know it could have been finished at the time, but due to a nuclear fallout of 1963 and a wind velocity of 34 mph, my work became a nuclear monster rather known as... SUPERCONTROLLER.

Now, on a serious note. I need a design.

I can buy tons of power tools for a few dollars apiece at many yard sales, flea markets, other places with used stuff.
Use them once? But I thought you were some sort of modder who finished a game controller project! Surely you had some form of power tool to cut it ever so cleanly! How else could you have imitated that USB gamepad down to the last premolded corner?

Buy them for yourself and then keep using them, if you know what you're doing. You seem to want us to think this.

The thing is, theres not a lot of "good" yardsales around here. Mostly old people selling old useless crap that noone wants.

Sure, I COULD use them more than once, but not as often as I'd like. Therefore right now, not worth my money. Gotta save money!

So, I want my longboard completed before this weekend.

I need some design ideas.

I could put a giant NES controller on the bottom, or a beatboxing image that I made. But I kinda want something.... better. haha

Any ideas?
