The "Tetris Effect," anyone has it?

I made a new topic to avoid derailing the 25 year anniversary.


Many years ago, I was playing Tetris on a GBO, I had a dream of me watching the news on an old TV. The news is that meteorites have landed on a field, and when people examined it, it was a shape of a "T," "Z" and "S" tetrominos. Then I started to play with soap boxes in a supermarket (mind you, I was 6 at the time) and packed them tightly. Even now, after many years after I stopped playing Tetris, I organize my cardboard boxes packed tightly, It helped me pack up boxes when I moved from Philippines to Canada and stuff like that.

Now when I play music I visualize falling notes, ala DJMAX Portable style.

So anyone else has this "Tetris Effect?"

In one episode of Simpsons Homer packs his car, Tetris style. It was pretty sweet.

Oh, I've used Tetris techniques to pack stuff in all the time when I was working in retail.

It's even better when you're putting stuff on pallets because you need to pack tightly in three dimensions.

Heavens, no. THIS is what I can do in regards to doodles and art. It pales in comparison to the work of Nicholas Gurewitch.

The closest thing to the Tetris effect I get is "Guitar Hero/Rock Band" effect. You know, when after playing for awhile, you look at your TV and your eyes continue the scanning-constantly-upward pattern.

I do that all the time at my work. Between that and OCD, I can't stand not having the pallets packed just right. I annoy myself sometimes...

Pretty much the same thing here. When im not cashiering, I bag groceries and pack them very tightly into the bags and the cart. I leave very little, if any unused space in the cart All thanks to tetris
