Best Picture On Tele
What do you think can give you the best picture on a tele?

I used my PS2 with Composite and got exactly the same picture with RGB

You get used to it 
Component RGB (YPbPr: luminance, Blue+Chrominance, Red+Chrominance) is somewhat questionably higher quality than standard RGB. Component should not to be confused with composite.
RGB: Red, Green and Blue. Comes through SCART here in Europe, when supported by the TV
S-Video (Y/V:Luminance+Chrominance), not as high quality as any of the above. Is also a component video signal of sorts since it separates the video into two components - Y and V.
Composite (YUV composited onto a single signal) Pretty crappy.
RF: sticks everything (audio and video) onto one signal. Nasty.

No, RGB can't. It's an analogue signal comprised purely of colour signals. Depending on what you mean by "component video", yes it can... mostly people mean YPbPr, which is the basis for HDTV as I recall. Don't forget though that any video signal with more than one component (chrominance/luminance) can be considered component video.goodie wrote:Yeah, but component can support HD and progressive scan.
