I haven't decided exactly what I want to do, but I have a 4.3" LCD (480x272 resolution) LQ043K3146 screen taken from an original PSP handheld. I want to use this with some other components to make a portable system OR as a mini-system for the front of my PC.
The only hardware I could find that can use my screen (that isn't a PSP motherboard) is a USBD480 board I found here: http://www.lcdinfo.com/products/usbd480-lq043.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The only way to get hold of one is by contacting the website owner, which I've done. The board costs €68 alone and an optional touch panel costs €15 - if I was to buy both, do you think it would be worth the cost? The board is USB powered.
If I do manage to purchase one of these boards, what do you think I should do after? One idea I had is to make the whole thing battery powered and squeeze it into an old PSP case or something. The other I idea was to just wire it up to the inside of my PC and use it as a secondary display.
Any thoughts on what I should do?
I'm looking to put something together, need help
