PSOne case ideas?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

PSOne case ideas?

Post by Vort »

Hello everyone, I'm quite new to the BenHeck forums, but have been watching videos of mods from many of the people here. I was quite inspired when I first saw the Portable N64 by ShockSlayer, and many others, but anyway enough of my life story.

I just bought a PSOne from a local Hock Shop for 15$, planning on fitting it into a small suitcase (suitcase for PSP). It fits when I pulled the PSone right down to the boards.
I'm just looking for opinions on if this is actually worth doing, I know how to attach the battery, and I might seek help for the screen later on, as for right now, I'm seeing if I can find a screen (PSOne 5") locally, and if not...eBay!

Any thoughts?

How about a roomy cigar box? That would be really pro, the wood is very easy to work with and smells just amazing. Also, it would look really stylish if you did it in a non-hasty fashion. I plan on sticking my PS1 into a cigar box!

Vacuum form some plastic to make a case tailored to your own preferences. This way, if you design it right, you can have it molded to fit in your hands perfectly.

Hey guys, uh alright, I've made up my mind.

The cigar box was a great idea, but I'm going to built into a suitcase.
I know how to do everything except for wiring the screen. I'd better do some research.
I'll probably get around to doing this next week. (after final exams)

I would hold this project off until I make a Portable NES (what I want to do SO bad, but parents won't let me start a new project until I finish this one)

Anyway, yeah, with the NES, I plan on making it while on a HUGE road trip in my friend's new RV. Just me, him and his parents driving.
So, basically we'll document the whole thing and post when we get back, the idea is to make like a giant Game Boy.

Lol just like VomitSaw/Stupidfingers (Richard) creator of the Nintoaster,
calling it the "Fat Boy".

Cheers mates.
